The building

Born Studios

The recently refurbished studios are located in a 19th century building in the heart of the picturesque Born district (C / Rec, 38). In each of the four floors there is a studio of 30m2 (one of them with its own terrace), ideal for two people. It also has a communal terrace on the roof. The office is located at 100m.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The building has no elevator. Access to the studies is done through a narrow spiral staircase. The bar on the ground floor stays open until 03:00 on weekends.

Location

How to find us when you arrive in Barcelona

The studios are located in Carrer del Rec, 38, 08003 and the office is located 100 m away, on Pescateria street number 1.  Office hours: 10am to 7pm. 

From Barcelona's El Prat airport

Taxi

The fastest way to get to us from the airport. The journey takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic. 

Bus

Take the Aerobus towards the city center and get off at either Plaza Espanya or Plaza Catalunya. From both stops you will need to take another urban bus, either the D20 (Pl. Espanya) or 14/59 (Pl.Catalunya) and hop off in Pla de Palau stop. You'll have to walk around 5 minutes to reach Carrer de Rec. 

Train

This is the cheapest option but also the slowest, since only two trains depart from the airport every hour.

Car

The nearest parking is located at Fusina street No.6. The price per day is 22 € presenting the booking form from Decô Apartments. 

Another option is the parking located in C / Princesa, 20. The price per day is 20 €. From here you would have to walk about 10 minutes.

For stays longer than 3 days, we recommend parking BSM PR Biomèdica, located in C / Doctor Aigüader, 88. The price is 40 € / for 5 days. (Attention: the vehicle can not be used in the meanwhile, you can consult other options).

 

From Sants Station

Take the train on the R2 Sud line to Estación de Francia, which is located very close to our building and you can walk from there, it would take you less than 5 minutes.

From Girona Airport

Buses from Gerona arrive at Estación del Norte, from where it is necessary to walk 10 minutes to get to the apartments (see map) or take bus number 39 and get off at the stop "Marqués de Argentera".

From Barcelona's Port (Moll adossat)

There is a shuttle bus (T3 Port bus) from the cruise terminal to the Passeig de Colom, from where you can walk 10 minutes, take a taxi (5 min to the apartments) or take bus nº14 or nº 59 and get off at the Stop "Pla de Palau".

The nearest parking is located in Plaça Comercial s/n (Aparcament El Born). From here you should walk about 2 minutes.

Sorroundings

El Born, located right next to the Gothic Quarter, has its own special character full of hand-made boutiques, bakeries, tapas bars and restaurants. All the area is pedestrian, easy to wander around while discovering the city center.

We are in the heart of the old town. Within 15 minute-walking distance from Plaça Catalunya, Las Ramblas, and the sea side. El Born is the perfect spot to enjoy Barcelona without having to worry too much about transportation.

We are located between 2 metro stations and many bus stops. There are also some bike rental spots and hop-in-hop-off turistic bus stops nearby.

THE BUILDING DOES NOT HAVE A RECEPTION.

THE NEAREST OFFICE IS LOCATED IN CARRER DE PESCATERIA 1 (1 MINUTE AWAY), OPEN FROM 10AM TO 3PM MONDAY TO SUNDAY.
OUT OF OFFICE HOURS, OUR STAFF WILL ASSIST YOU BY PHONE (+34 692 819 933)/(+34 930 016 504).

We offer the following free services during office hours: luggage storage, city maps, taxi booking, ticket sales for monuments and museums, touristic information, and computer/printer for our guests' use.

Free WiFi access in the whole building.

Terrace in the rooftop for the use of all our guests. Due to Covid restrictions, the terrace has limited access, please ask in reception.

We provide bed linen and towels (one set per person) with no extra cost upon arrival. Extra sets can be set for an extra cost, upon prior request.

Cleaning service: You will find the apartment clean upon arrival. Extra cleaning service can be made for an extra cost, upon prior request.

Policies

Check-in from 15:00h to 19:00h.
If you arrive before 3pm and your apartment is not yet ready, you can leave your bags at the reception, under availability.

Check-in procedure: a member of our staff will show you the apartment, give you the keys and ask you to sign a contract (you can consult the conditions of the contract here) and make payment of the amount of the reservation as well as the city tax.

IMPORTANT: Please inform us about your expected time of arrival in order to arrange the check-in.
You can leave a comment on the reservation or contact us directly to do so.

Payment: 5 days before your arrival, we will pre-authorize your card for the total amount. At your arrival, you can choose to confirm this pre-authorization using the same card, using another card or you can pay in cash. In case you have chosen a non-refundable rate, we will require the payment upon booking. It is necessary to pay a 220€ security deposit as a guarantee:

1. In case of damage to the furniture during your stay.

2. In case of noise between the quiet hours: from 10 PM to 9 AM.

3. In case of smoking inside the apartment. 

4. To incur a penalty for a late cancellation / no show. 

Accepted cards: Visa, MasterCard, Maestro. We reserve the right to pre-authorize your card prior to your arrival to verify its validity.

Check-out before 11:00.
You can leave your bags at reception and pick them up later. The check-out procedure is only to leave the keys in the reception box if the check-out is made before 10am. Return keys to staff if reception is open.

Cancellation policy:

14 days before the date of your arrival. Cancellations made during the 14 days prior to the expected date of arrival are subject to a penalty of 100% of the amount of the reservation. If you have chosen the non-refundable rate, no refund will be made in case of change or cancellation.

Special Cancellation policy for the MWC 2023 (27/02/2023 – 02/03/2023):
For this period, we have a non-refundable rate. In case of change or cancellation, no refund will be made.

Loss of keys:
It is very important not to lose the keys to the building, otherwise we will charge a penalty of 150€.
